I took my roommate here last night after she had been recommending it for months. Immediately when we walked in, the smell was incredible. There seemed to be only one front of house staff member and he was incredible. They had a bunch of off menu specials that all sounded delicious. He also said if there was anything we wanted that wasn't on the menu and they had the ingredients to make it, they would. He was extremely kind and professional. His name is Gasper and I hope he's my server when I return!
Nice atmosphere not fancy, not plain. Very crowded when guitar player is there. Bar area is separate from dining area. Vegetarian options are limited to cheese and bean, no fresh veggies. Salsa is a thick tomato salsa with limited spice. Friends ordered the burrito mexicano & tostada and loved them!
The mrs and I came here for lunch.... We had been here before and wasn't impressed but wanted to give it one more try. We got cheese dip as an appetizer and it was really good! Brooke was our server and she was on point. The mrs ordered a mango margarita and saud she couldn't taste mango.... I drank some of it although I'm not a mango fan and thought it was ok. She described the taste of the margarita as being "soap." Our entrees were served pretty quick and mine was pretty good. I just got chicken nachos.... They were exactly what I was expecting and good. I'm not sure what the mrs entree was called but the waitress recommended it. The feedback I got was it's not bad. The ambiance in this place is good.... Music on but not too loud.... Tables are all decorated. The only thing that I noticed that I didn't like was several tables were dirty and we were the only people in the place. The bill for two was 40 bucks plus tip. The only negative feedback was the margarita.... Everything else was really good!!!
